Position Objective
UIA is seeking a qualified MUSIC teacher who will support the needs of UIA students.
The role of the music teacher is essentially to develop and maintain a successful music education program which includes knowledge, appreciation, curriculum development and performance. The aim is to build students’ musical competence through engaging lessons as guided by the Cambridge curriculum.
The role may involve some performance responsibilities as part of the UIA community.
Key Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
- Aligning classes to meet the requirements of the Cambridge curriculum
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to students based on students’ needs & abilities
- Practises effective classroom management
- Assigns, corrects, and marks students’ work
- Assesses, records, and reports students’ progress
- Conducts homeroom duties (if applicable)
- Participates actively in parent-teacher meetings
- Collaborating with teachers and staff in organising school wide events
- Capable with ICT management ie. online learning platforms, integration of educational technology in lessons, device use etc.
- Fulfil additional school duties (bus duty, lunch monitor, recess, ECA etc.)
School Organisation
- Perform student supervision duties as requested
- Be available for experiential learning (eg Excursions, Week Without Walls, Sports Day)
- Actively participate in school events (This may include but not restricted House Activities, Extra Curricular Activities, Meet the Teachers night, Parent Teacher Conferences, Graduation)

Terms of Employment
- Working Hours: 08:15 to 16:30
- Probation Period: 3 months
- Referee request: 3 referees (including direct conversation)
- Background Check: current country (if applicable)
