The UIA Advisory Board brings together diverse perspectives from academia, business, and non-profit activities to help guide our institution towards its ideals.

Atusushi Yamashita

Vice President, UIA Int. Co. Ltd.

Atsushi Yamashita is the Vice President of UIA International Co., Ltd., which manages the school. He brings extensive experience in banking and turnaround management, with a strong track record in restructuring companies and revitalizing businesses.

Mia Omatsuzawa

Advisor

Mia Omatsuzawa is founder and president of One World Link, a multi-lingual investor relations support firm. She is also director of the Tokyo Peace Lions Club, Lions Club International 330A district IR2Z. But most of all, Mia is a proud mother of a UlA student.

Simon Goodman

Advisor

Simon is a father of five, born and educated in the UK. He works for a multinational company and spent 19 years living and working across Asia before moving to Tokyo in 2020. He has held senior roles in manufacturing, operations, and procurement across Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and China/HK.

Micheal Taylor

Principal

Michael earned a B.Ed. in PE/Health from Australia and an M.Ed. in Administration/Educational Technology. With 17 years in state education, he has successfully led international schools in the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan, thriving there for over five years.

Rohan Agarwal

Advisor

Rohan brings two decades of experience in Japan as a bilingual business and technical professional. He holds a Master’s in Nano-Electronics from the University of Edinburgh and Japanese language certification, and aims to connect UIA with academic institutions to enhance student learning.
