Field Trip to Asuka Mountain and Hydrangea Craft
- Date June 12, 2023
The beautiful season of hydrangeas (紫陽花 あじさい ajisai) has arrived.
Dolphins had an exciting field trip to Asuka Mountain, known for its stunning hydrangeas.
First, we took a leisurely walk along the Asuka Path, where we enjoyed the sight of numerous hydrangeas. The colourful flowers brought smiles to our students’ faces as they explored the path.
Next, we took a monorail ride to the park. The view from the monorail was great, and the students were so excited.
At the park, students had a wonderful time playing and having fun on the playground equipment.
The Asuka Mountain field trip was a memorable experience, filled with joy and discovery.
The next day, during the Japanese lesson, the students made a hydrangea craft to remember the memories of the field trip.
Lastly, we would like to share the beautiful poem
called “Hydrangea Blossoms” (あじさいの花) by Shinmin Sakamura.
Round and round,
Trying to become beautifully shaped,
The gentle hearts of hydrangea blossoms,
Today rather than yesterday,
Trying to become a new colour,
On a rainy day,
The hydrangea blossoms.
Just like the hydrangeas,we hope our students also grow “round and round” with gentle hearts, and find their own unique colours to express themselves.
