🟦Position Objective
The Physics teacher is tasked with delivering the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curriculum to students between Grades 9-12. The teacher is expected to plan & execute lessons based on the curriculums and syllabi, while also establishing a safe, productive, and learner-centred learning environment.
🟦Responsibilities
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Create and execute effective lesson plans based on the Cambridge curriculum.
- Create and develop a comprehensive curriculum guide/framework based on the Cambridge curriculum.
- Conduct laboratory classes and practical exams in accordance with the Cambridge exam guidelines.
- Ensure that laboratory safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Practice effective classroom management.
- Deliver effective formative and summative assessments.
- Plan, design, and provide necessary support to students based on their individual needs.
- Consistently monitor student behaviour, well-being, and progress.
- Supervise students and practise effective duty of care.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members.
- Maintain consistent communication with students and parents and build positive relations between all parties within the school.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and assist with committee assignments.
- Fulfill additional school duties and roles (e.g., homeroom teacher assignments, bus duty, dispersal duty, etc.).
🟦Working Environment
- 8:15-16:30 (Full time)
Salary – Negotiable based on qualifications, experience, and education.
Staff will be supported by subject appropriate professional development.

- National Holidays
- 3-week Summer vacation
- 3-week Winter vacation
- 10-day Annual paid holiday
🟦Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or a related field from an established and accredited university.
- University degree in education (bachelors or masters) or an active teaching licence.
Additional preferred skills:
- Experience with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Previous teaching experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other related software.
Associated responsibilities:
- Leadership of the class during times of emergency.
- Supervising the children at break/lunch and other unstructured times.
- Ensuring that the children are safe and secure at all times.
- Communicating regularly and positively with parents via timely meetings, class webs, reports and conferences.
General:
- To teach any classes as deemed necessary.
- To provide any other reasonable duties delegated by the School Management.
