Future-Leaders-Scholarship
UIA’s “Future Leaders” Scholarship Program is an academic scholarship program that recognizes and rewards students for both their academic achievement and vision for how they would like to shape our world’s future.
This scholarship program is available for Grades 9 -12. Students must have a grade average of A* (90%) or above to be invited to apply.
Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship Award:
- Students must be in or entering Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12.
- Students must have a grade average of A* (90%) or above on their most recent school report card. Students must successfully pass a written essay and an in-person face-to- face interview.
- A* grade average is the minimum criteria necessary to be eligible to apply. Scholarships are not awarded based solely on grade average.
- Each student is required to submit a written essay and participate in a face- to-face interview, both of which will be conducted on site at UIA if possible; otherwise they may be conducted by video-conference.
- Notices of selection or rejection are final and may not be disputed.
- Scholarships are reviewed on a semester basis.
- The scholarship recipient must maintain their A* average to continue receiving it; if the average falls below 90%, the scholarship will be cancelled.
- At the end of the academic year, if students continue to meet the eligibility criteria, they may apply again for consideration of continuation of their scholarship into the next academic year.
- This scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other tuition reduction plan.
